Employee Profiles

Agnieszka Musial, Environment Advisor

I joined Tate & Lyle Sugars because… the company was a known world leader in the food sector and had a great reputation; I also had a particular interest in the process of refining sugar and its impact on the environment. I wanted to work in London and the refinery was a great location for me.

What is it like to work for Tate & Lyle Sugars?... It’s great to be part of an operation that works on such a grand scale. Although I found my role challenging in the early days, the people I work with are all very supportive. Tate & Lyle Sugars has a unique and friendly environment that creates a special place to work.

My current role… as an Environment Advisor means I am responsible for maintaining a high standard of environmental performance for the business. This means ensuring that the activities of our business are in accordance with the internal environmental management system and corporate environmental policies. A large part of my role is to ensure compliance with all local and national regulations.

My career history… I graduated with an MSc in Environmental Engineering from Krakow University of Technology, Poland. I held my first role as a researcher at the University of Southampton, following which I became a research assistant at Proctor & Gamble PLC. I then joined Tate & Lyle Sugars as a Quality Analyst and have since been promoted to my current role of Environment Advisor.

Danny Stanton, Deputy Warehouse Manager

I joined Tate & Lyle Sugars because… family members had worked for Tate & Lyle Sugars in the past and the company has an excellent reputation. A long history and a strong market reputation were both selling points.

What is it like to work for Tate & Lyle Sugars?... whilst working in this fast paced environment, I have had some great opportunities to work in so many different areas of the business, which has allowed me to develop not only a much broader understanding of the product range but of the business as a whole.

My current role… is a recent promotion and will see me undertake the day to day management of both the Warehouse Operating and the Warehouse Administration Teams. This will no doubt be challenging on many different levels and will enable me to develop my management skills further.

My career history… I joined the company 17 years ago as a Packing Administrator and since then have had various roles during my career, including in Packing, Production Planning and more recently, in Warehousing. The variety of roles has allowed me to develop the key skills required to be promoted to my current position as Deputy Warehouse Manager.
