Tate & Lyle Sugars and Lyle’s Golden Syrup supplies wholesale cane sugars, syrups, treacles and speciality ingredients to leading food and drink businesses across the UK and Europe – produced at Europe’s largest sugar refinery and backed by the global scale of ASR Group®.

Built on cane sugar expertise

Cane sugar offers exceptional range and versatility – brown sugars, syrups, treacles and molasses are all by-products of the cane refining process. As manufacturers of speciality and functional ingredients, we work with our customers to find the right sugar, syrup or ingredient for their product – for sweetness, texture, flavour and mouthfeel, backed by technical support and product application expertise.

Our manufacturing

Operating across several state-of-the-art facilities in the UK, we manufacture at a scale few can match. Our modern packing lines run a full range of formats, from bulk to retail-ready, with the ability to flex and scale to whatever your business demands are.

Our in-house product developers and technologists continuously innovate to create the best products in the market, all backed by a global supply chain and BRC AA+ accreditation – the highest standard in food safety.

Our Product Range

Brown Cane Sugars

Golden Caster, Golden Granulated, Demerara, Soft Brown and Muscovado sugars – hues of maple, chocolate and velvety brown, each with its own flavour and texture.

Liquid Cane Sugars

Exceptionally pure liquid sugars in “water white” and subtle “straw” tones, without added colouring. Easy to store, handle and meter, and well suited to bulk users.

Inverts & Syrups

Colours ranging from water white through to the deepest black, including Golden Cane Invert Syrup 50-83 – better known as Lyle’s Golden Syrup. Our Inverts extend shelf life, regulate viscosity and give precise control of flavour.

Flavoured Syrups & Sauces

Expertly developed and great tasting flavours for topping, beverage, baking and food manufacturing. Our ranges of topping and beverage syrups are being constantly refined and extended, with seasonal and on trend flavours.

Treacles & Molasses

Dark, deep, thick syrups that can only come from sugar cane, including Lyle’s Black Treacle – a stalwart flavouring for cakes, puddings and gingerbread since 1883.

Fairtrade & Organic Sugars and Syrups

Certified Organic Evaporated Cane Juice and Organic Demerara, sourced from trusted growers in Central and South America.
